The grey blanket of rain clouds covered the entire Witwatersrand area.

The parched earth soaked up the life giving soft gentle rain. Some of the streams were now running and are starting to flow freely, the smaller in full spate.

This waterfall is still a mere trickle, that you would be able to see it when in full flow, perhaps in early February we will revisit this resort.

It is January, our rains are late in coming, but they have arrived. Several days of brief thunderstorms, in the late afternoon and early evenings.

Nearly like the summers that we new here as children!

This is my world and I will endeavour to take on a virtual visit to the places that I love, to some of the the scenes that you will see if you ever cross the vast distances from your country, to South Africa, more importantly, Johannesburg.

This mall situated in the Southern Suburbs of Johannesburg, a Koppie in the distance, with the inevitable  townhouse complexes that surround this quiet suburban shopping mall.

Still deserted at this time of the morning, as the mothers are still busy dropping their children in the nearby schools.
